- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 thick-cut bacon strips, chopped
- 1/4 cup port wine
- 1 1/2 tablespoons dark molasses
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons coarse salt

- 2 pounds thin-cut bacon, each slice cut into thirds
